It’s Iditarod Trail time!! I almost forgot. I love this dog sled race in Alaska. We have friends that live up there but I have never went to see the start of the race in Anchorage AK. Back years ago when I homeschooled my Son. We did a study set on this for his school. They had things you could download to study with and we picked our favorites. We made little dog sleds out of paper and everyday we would see who was in the lead. We had a map and we mapped out the course.
Back in the day our the internet was not as fast as it is today, so checking in was only a one time a day thing. What fun it was and still is to see who finishes. One year a blind girl competed, not sure how she did it. But she finished.
So now the race is on again. The title is one of the Alaska songs I did, I did, I did the Iditarod. Go check it out and pick your favorite team!
